1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your email address, name, and authentication credentials via Google OAuth or email/password.

Profile Data: CV content, work history, skills, and metrics you provide for CV generation.

Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns within the application.

Payment Information: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. Stripe's privacy policy applies.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve the CVTailor service
  • To generate tailored CVs and cover letters based on your input
  • To process payments and manage your credits
  • To send service-related communications
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. AI Processing

Your CV content and job descriptions are sent to OpenRouter (AI inference API) for processing. This data is used solely to generate your tailored CV and is not stored by the AI provider beyond what is necessary for the request. We do not use your data to train AI models.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL database) hosted in the United States. Generated CVs and cover letters are saved to your account and can be deleted at any time from the Document Library.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties except:

  • Stripe (payment processing)
  • OpenRouter (AI inference)
  • Supabase (database hosting)
  • Vercel (application hosting)
  • When required by law

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us via WhatsApp.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and data
  • Export your data
  • Object to processing of your data

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to changes. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
